Deciding to get a tattoo can sometimes lead to rash decisions, a trap not even celebrities are immune to. Some have inked names of significant others, while others opted for whimsical designs that seemed amusing at one point. Unfortunately, these choices can result in lifelong regrets, especially concerning their tattoos.
Angelina Jolie
Back in the early 2000s, when Angelina Jolie and her then-husband Billy Bob Thornton were together, she got a tattoo dedicated to him as a symbol of her love. The tattoo on her left shoulder featured an Asian-style dragon with “Billy Bob” written above it. However, after their marriage ended in 2003, Jolie had the tattoo removed and later covered it with the coordinates of where her children were born.
Ryan Reynolds
Although not widely known for his tattoos, Ryan Reynolds has a few, and that seems more than enough for him. In an interview, he mentioned, “I hate all of them.” He also explained, “I would get them removed if it didn’t take hours of painful removal sessions. But my wife says I should keep them as reminders of the choices I’ve made.”
Adam Levine
Adam Levine’s upper body is virtually covered in tattoos. During an interview with Anderson Cooper, when asked if he regretted any of his tattoos, Levine admitted he liked most of them and would never cover any up. However, there is one on his right shoulder that he tried to fix by surrounding it with something else, which ultimately ended up looking like a cauliflower with a sun in the middle.
Heidi Klum
America’s Got Talent judge Heidi Klum once got a tattoo commemorating her fourth wedding anniversary with her ex-husband Seal, a decision she later regretted. After their divorce, Klum ended that chapter by removing his name from her right arm.
Pamela Anderson
In 1995, former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson had a barbed wire tattooed on her arm for her lead role in the movie Barb Wire. Instead of having the barbed wire painted on daily, she decided to get it permanently inked. Nineteen years later, Anderson chose to remove it, stating that the tattoo became an “eyesore” as she got older.
Melanie Griffith
After 19 years of marriage, Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas split in the summer of 2014. Nearly a year after their separation, the signs of their once-loving relationship were no longer visible. Initially, Griffith used makeup to cover Banderas’s name, but eventually, she had the tattoo on her arm removed with laser treatment.
Justin Bieber
Pop sensation Justin Bieber has showcased his tattoos in an interview with GQ. He pointed out a tattoo on his left wrist, which was an image of his ex-girlfriend. After breaking up with Selena Gomez, he tried to obscure her face on his arm, but people still recognized the tattoo as being associated with his former lover.
